Terms of Service
Effective September 8, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Azalea Intelligence LLC ("we", "us") for the use of Yard Signals, the web app and any native apps we release.
The service
Yard Signals sends notifications about yard chores based on weather forecasts for the ZIP code you provide. It is a convenience, not a warranty. Forecasts are sometimes wrong, notifications can be delayed or lost by your device or network, and our rules are general. You are responsible for your own property, plants, pipes, and safety, and for checking conditions yourself when it matters.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to use Yard Signals.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information, including a ZIP code you are entitled to receive alerts for.
- One account per person. Households let several accounts share one yard.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempting to access other people's data, disrupting the service, reverse engineering it to compete, sending abusive content to us, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Free and paid plans
Yard Signals is free during its beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will say what is included and what it costs before you are charged, and purchases made through an app store are governed by that store's terms as well.
Weather and climate data
Forecasts come from Open-Meteo and hardiness zones from public USDA data. Frost dates are statistical estimates computed from historical records for your area. They are useful planning guides, not guarantees about any particular night.
Our content
The Yard Signals name, mark, design, and software belong to Azalea Intelligence LLC. You may use the app for your own household's yard care. Everything else is reserved.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Yard Signals at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can end or change the service, or these terms, with reasonable notice where practical. Sections about liability and disputes survive.
Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the same extent, Azalea Intelligence LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of plants, property, or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including from a missed, late, or incorrect alert. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Virginia have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to that, unless applicable law in your place of residence provides otherwise. Before filing a claim, please write to us; most issues can be sorted out quickly.
